Scott Kaufman is the Legislative Director for the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association, California’s leading taxpayer organization. He previously served as the Education and Workforce Development Task Force director at the American Legislative Exchange Council and opinion editor for the Southern California News Group (which includes the Orange County Register, Los Angeles Daily News, the Riverside Press-Enterprise, and eight other newspapers). Scott is a fifth-generation Californian and baseball purist. He thinks there should be a constitutional amendment banning the designated hitter.
